Teagan & Mark's Yarrawonga Wedding Win

It has taken me a while to find the words to accurate depict this day and the events leading up to it. I'll try my best, but you're just going to have to take my word for it, actually for basketball analogy for it .... it was 'nothing but net.'

From the moment Teagan and Mark booked me for their Yarrawonga wedding, I was absolutely pumped.  Not only because I've known Teagan and her family since the days of under 8 basketball at Nunawading Stadium, but because Teagan and Mark are one of those drawcard couples that you want at your event and in your life in general!  Thankfully they are quite the 'yes' couple, that can never say 'no', typically resulting in over committing to life and being the last to leave, but having a hell of a lot of fun doing so along the way!  You get my point, they are fun!

The big countdown had been on to their wedding day for some time, so when just weeks out from the main event, they foresaw Covid19 potentially soiling their plans, they managed to completely rearrange their entire wedding in 3 hours, bringing it forward 3 weeks to sneak in before Covid restrictions took over! ⠀Let me assure you, if there’s a family that’s capable of such a feat, it’s this one. Teagan and Mark and their 'behind the scenes planner extroadinaires' (aka family members) were thrown ALL the curve balls right up until the eleventh hour (including discovering the day before the wedding a key supplier had accidentally rescheduled the wrong date leaving them scrambling round get a sub in!)

Thankfully however, they are a sporty lot who are handy with balls with curves of all kinds - so they took it all in their stride and pulled off the biggest victory of all to the cheers and delight of a heavily reduced crowd who more than made up the numbers with enthusiasm and love for the stars of the show.

With the majestic Murray River Region of Yarrawonga being not only a place close to Teagan and Mark's hearts, but a midway point for their mix of Canberra and Melbourne guests, it was the obvious choice for their celebration.  And it sure did not disappoint!  Let's face it though, it rarely does!

The familiar Lake Mulwala backdrop, Teagan's sensational mauve Alca Line Bride gown, Mark's excessively chilled out nature, the most supportive and damn fine looking wedding party in history, and a relaxed outdoor lounge-style reception culminated into quite simply, one of the most memorable weddings for those privileged to get a guernsey!

Teagan & Mark, you are absolute superstars in every sense of the word, and your cracking ceremony was one I’ll never forget (especially those ninja vows and the intense bridal party roasting extravaganza!) ⠀A pleasure to write, and even more of a pleasure to deliver.  Thank you for having me as part of your epic celebration.  What a win!

Being fortunate enough to witness Shan officiate many weddings prior to ours we had zero doubt in our minds that she would play such a pivotal role in our wedding lead up and ceremony, it was one of the most comfortable choices we had to make in the whole wedding.

Besides the initial congratulations we received from guests after we were legally wedded, everyone's next comment was on the ceremony and how fantastic Shan was. She read the play immediately and prepared a very relaxed and lighthearted ceremony that suited us immensely and we are still laughing at it now!

Due to impending restrictions with public gatherings, we decided to bring our wedding forward with only a few days notice. Shannon was one of the most important suppliers to us that we wanted to make sure could do the date change. We are beyond thankful to Shannon for being a rock during all the last minute craziness and her steady hand and endless support was so calming. I don't think we realised how much we needed it at the time but are so appreciative of it looking back now.

Once you see or are a part of a wedding with Shan, its impossible to imagine a wedding with out her. Her positive attitude, quick wit, attention to detail, and all round good vibes are far beyond any other celebrant we have ever seen and if you are lucky enough to book Shannon, it's a real no-brainer if you ask us!

Teags and Mark xx
