The Echuca/Moama region of Victoria is synonymous for it’s rich and diverse history, impressive natural backdrops, towering river gum trees, live music festivals and sporting events, not to mention delicious food and wine. These draw cards combined with the Bride and Groom’s solid connections to the area, meant resultantly, it was a no brainer for the incredibly well matched, river loving duo that is Brent and Steph, to make things official on the banks of the Mighty Murray! And of course …. who doesn’t love an Echuca wedding?!
Being asked to officiate for such a well-loved, family and friend oriented couple was a sheer privilege and one I won’t be forgetting any time soon. I actually don’t think you’d find anyone that could say a bad word about this couple. They truly are the amongst the most genuine, kind hearted, modest and fun-loving people you’ll ever come across. And ask anyone in attendance and they’ll agree, Brent and Steph’s wedding really was a perfect depiction of all things them – fun, relaxed, stylish and inclusive – with a touch of country class.
Upon arriving at Steph’s family’s property just outside of Echuca, guests were directed through to one of the most impressive ‘backyard wedding’ setups I’ve ever witnessed. From outdoor bathrooms complete with mirrors and pampering essentials, ice filled boat bars, to lounge suites and chill out zones, a caravan bar and grazing stations – not to mention the impressively styled clear roof marquee, Brent and Steph had not only thought of it all, they’d engaged talented suppliers to help them execute it too!
Their light-hearted and very relaxed wedding ceremony was an absolute delight to conduct, and of course, with the ever-impressive Murray River as our backdrop, it made for a super pictureseque and very Australian atmosphere.
Through the laughs, the tears, the tugging on heart strings and the fond recollections of ‘Brent and Steph’ moments – just like that -they were married. All in front of a crowd that couldn’t love these guys any more than they do, and that is a true credit to the beautiful humans who are now the new Mr & Mrs Rose.
So thank you Brent and Steph for inviting me along to be a part of your stunning and memorable country celebration and thank you for showing us all just how relaxed and fun love can be.
