Aley & Corey's Epicurean Stunner

Updated: Jun 11, 2020

The Epicurean Red Hill is a truly unique venue situated within the gorgeous surrounds of the winery region and hinterland of Red Hill and was the perfect wedding venue for Mornington Peninsula lovers, Aley and Corey to tie the knot.

Even the last minute severe weather warning curveball – where they were faced with the prospect of two months rain in two days couldn’t dampen the party of all parties that was to take place!  In fact, there was no need for ‘Plan B’ as ‘Plan A’ – a loft ceremony at the Epicurean, was already well protected from the elements.

Epic floral structures courtesy of the incredible clever ladies at Poppy Culture, tall vases and warmly lit candles, together with acoustic tunes in the background, provided the ultimate cosy setting in the loft, ready for what was one of the most electric wedding ceremonies I’ve ever had the pleasure of conducting!

Aley and Corey’s family and friends were amped!  And this, together with Aley and Corey being so relaxed, so excited and so in love, made for the most fun, interactive, and highly emotionally charged ceremony a couple could ever wish for.  It was one they deserved, and one they loved every minute of as you can probably tell from the images to follow!

Despite the seemingly never-ending rain, photographer Kim Cartmell managed to take Aley, Corey and their abundantly fun bridal party off site for a memorable photo session, capturing the illusive moments that would have otherwise gone un-documented if it wasn’t for Kim and the entire oblidging bridal crew involved.

Then back to the Epicurean it was for the Bride and Groom, to re-join their family and friends for the most fun-filled evening of elegantly catered food and wine that capitalised on the fresh, regional, seasonal and delicious produce, brilliant company, exquisite styling thanks to a carefully selected group of A-Grade suppliers, and loads of dancing, love and laughter.  A unique and memorable occasion, celebrating everything Aley and Corey.

Honestly, I could go on all day about this breathtakingly beautiful wedding that I was privileged to be a part of, but instead, I’ll let you enjoy it through the eyes of Kim Cartmell‘s lens ….

“The most memorable part for me as hands down, the ceremony. I think you always think of the reception and the big party (which is epic), but the ceremony was my favourite part.

It felt electric, completely us and really set the tone of the day.

I have never had so many grown men and women say to me that they were in tears. Many more said that it was the best wedding ceremony they have ever attended and how it seemed like Shannon was a friend of ours.

She took the time to get to know us and who we are. She painted such a beautiful and accurate picture of the love Corey and I have for each other.”
